The highly complex nature of the seed sector demands a multi-actor approach where all relevant stakeholders will work together to mobilise and leverage expertise, technology, and financial resources.

The Netherlands, as a world leader in seed and planting material development is in a unique position to contribute to effective seed sector development in low- and middle income countries, bringing together actors from government, the private sector, finance, civil society organisations and knowledge institutions, i.e. “the Dutch diamond approach”. These actors are represented on the SeedNL Sounding Board.

SeedNL works closely together with the Netherlands Food Partnership. The Netherlands Food Partnership enables powerful collaboration between relevant Dutch organisations and international partners to achieve urgent changes that contribute to sustainable food systems and nutrition security.
