This report captures key insights from a webinar series facilitating multi-stakeholder conversations on Plant Breeders’ Rights and Farmers’ Rights in seven countries. The webinars were co-hosted by SeedNL and the regional seed associations APSA (Asia and Pacific Seed Association) and AFSTA (African Seed Trade Association).

In the SeedNL podcast series on this topic, there is a general consensus that the disharmony between Plant Breeders’ Rights and Farmers’ Rights is less pronounced than it may appear. The real challenge lies in navigating the complexity of diverse contexts, perceptions, and stakeholder positions. With this webinar series, SeedNL, AFSTA, and APSA facilitated constructive dialogue that unpacks such different contexts and perceptions.
