PVP Toolbox
Over the past four years, numerous projects were implemented aimed at raising awareness of the importance of plant variety protection or improving Plant Breeders' Rights research. These projects are funded by the Plant Variety Protection Toolbox by the Ministry of Agriculture, Nature and Food Quality.
Some of our activities :
Start cooperation between the Netherlands and Ethiopia on Plant Breeders' Rights
A visit to the Netherlands regarding exchanging infringement procedures
A visit by various stakeholders to the Netherlands to obtain knowledge on the possible impact of Plant Breeder's' Rights and a seminar in Egypt to discuss the implementation of Plant Breeders' Rights
Symposium in Tanzania/Zanzibar and support for administration
DUS training for ornamental crops in India
Plant Breeders' Rights course in Mexico (UPOV 91) and a seminar on EDV
Participant in PBR training course in Wageningen
Plant Breeders' Rights course in Kazakhstan and seminar on the benefits of UPOV membership
Participant in PVP course in Wageningen and training in administration in Roelofarendsveen
Seminar on implementing Plant Breeders' Rights at a political level in Uganda
Participant in PVP course in Wageningen; support for World Seed Partnership meeting in Mongolia
Project “Options to interpret the notion of private and non-commercial use as included in Article 15.1.I of the UPOV 1991 Convention"
